Following the sad death of Cornwall Councillor Edwina Hannaford, there will be a BY-ELECTION on Thursday 4th April.
Liberal Democrat candidate Jim Candy was a long-standing friend of Edwina's and served alongside her on Cornwall Council.
He will continue her work building a stronger community, a fairer society and a better environment for all.

Jim has been expressing the concerns of many local residents (here in Polperro) regarding the blanket roll-out of the new wheelie-bins across Cornwall.
All three parties now have toll petitions, but only the Liberal Democrat petition calls for the tolls to be abolished. You can sign it at www.seclibdems.uk/tamar-tolls
Jim appreciates the important role community groups bring to peoples lives and will support them in any way he can as we all need to support one another.

Campaigners calling for the abolition of the Tamar Tolls have been left disappointed by a half-hearted decision by the committee responsible for the crossings.
We the undersigned call for: - The Tamar Bridge Act 1998 and its predecessors to be revoked - The tolls on the Tamar Bridge and Torpoint Ferry to be abolished - National Highways to take responsibility for maintenance of the Tamar Bridge - Government to fund the Torpoint Ferry in order to maintain the essential 24/7 transport link between Torpoint and Plymouth.
